This authentic cowboy-style adventure is a memorable, classic San Miguel de Allende experience. It takes place in the most important canyon in the state of Guanajuato for its natural and cultural richness. The whole family is welcome to relive the times of the revolution on our horses, which are specialists in handling all kinds of people, very well trained by 5th generation cavalrymen.

The cattle ranch where we start is located about 45 minutes from the city. To get there, we see in the distance the pyramid of Cañada de la Virgen and reveal some of its mysteries. At the ranch, after a theoretical introduction to riding, we will begin the 2.5 hour tour with exclusive access to the main canyon of the region.

In the first part of the excursion we descend approximately 40 minutes until we reach the bottom of the canyon, admiring spectacular scenery.

In the river we gallop at several points and dismount to enjoy a rest and refresh ourselves. We can walk in search of quartz and geodes, abundant in the river bed, and admire a chapel of the first viceregal stage uncatalogued.

We go up the canyon and border its impressive 50-meter cliffs, with the most spectacular views of the excursion and with the option of rappelling down these rocks. The total time of the ride is approximately 2 hours.

Finally, a delicious traditional home-cooked meal will be waiting for us. The menu includes tortillas al comal, fresh ranchero cheese and organic beans from the ranch, quesadillas, nopales, rice, fresh salsas, guacamole and salad, among other typical dishes.
